The terrifying world of demonic possession returns with The Exorcist: Martyrs, a new supernatural horror film directed and written by Mike Flanagan. The newly revealed trailer introduces a disturbing mystery that combines a serial-killer investigation with terrifying supernatural events. Scarlett Johansson stars as Julie Miller, a single mother and police officer whose past becomes connected to a horrifying new case. After she witnesses the execution of a notorious satanic serial killer, a series of disturbing events suggests that the nightmare may not be over. As the investigation develops, Julie's 12-year-old son becomes the target of a terrifying demonic force. The film also features Jacobi Jupe, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Laurence Fishburne, Diane Lane, Sasha Calle, and John Leguizamo. Rather than continuing the story of 2023's The Exorcist: Believer, the movie introduces a new storyline and a fresh set of characters within the franchise's universe. Mike Flanagan, known for atmospheric horror projects such as The Haunting of Hill House and Midnight Mass, brings his distinctive storytelling style to the iconic horror series. The film is expected to blend psychological tension, crime investigation, religious themes, and supernatural terror. The Exorcist: Martyrs is scheduled to arrive exclusively in theaters on March 12, 2027. Horror fans can watch the official trailer for an early glimpse of the darkness awaiting Julie and her family.
