Prime Video has released the first official teaser for Criminal, an upcoming crime drama based on the acclaimed graphic novel series created by Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips. The series brings together an impressive cast led by Charlie Hunnam, Emilia Clarke, Adria Arjona, Luke Evans, and Gus Halper. Set in an interconnected world of criminals, the story explores the complicated relationships between people raised in a life of crime and the difficult choices they face when trying to escape their past.

The story follows Leo Patterson, played by Charlie Hunnam, and his best friend Ricky Lawless, played by Gus Halper. While Leo wants to leave behind the criminal world in which they grew up, Ricky is determined to follow in the footsteps of his father, a legendary outlaw. Their already complicated lives take another turn when Ricky's older brother, Tracy Lawless, portrayed by Luke Evans, returns home from the Army. His arrival brings back painful family memories and threatens to expose secrets that have remained buried for years.

The series also introduces Greta, played by Adria Arjona, a sharp-tongued car thief from Leo's past, and Mallory, portrayed by Emilia Clarke, Ricky's girlfriend, who worries about the dangerous decisions he makes to survive. As robberies, gunfights, and personal conflicts unfold, the characters become increasingly trapped in a world where loyalty can be just as dangerous as betrayal.

Developed from the popular graphic novels by Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips, Criminal promises an interconnected crime universe filled with suspense, action, and emotional drama. The eight-episode series will be released in two parts on Prime Video. The first four episodes, titled Coward, premiere on January 13, 2027, followed by the remaining four episodes, titled Lawless, on January 27, 2027.
